Why would you want a system that is so fragile and that it requires constant attention?

On the whole, the reverse osmosis system does not perform as claimed. Even if they were free, they would not be a sound investment. But, reverse osmosis water purifiers are very expensive, besides wasting water which adds to the cost of use. Why would you get such a system in the first place?
